    gq: acontinuation: Wait. Wait. Wait. Serena Williams’ sister, Yetunde Price, was killed by a member of the Crips six years ago. So her Crip walk is either the biggest fuck you to the Crips imaginable (and a fairly bold act on her part), or, if it wasn’t meant to be that, an incredibly idiotic maneuver on her part. Excellent point. I had completely forgotten about this. And I don’t know the answer to the question it implicitly poses. I don’t think anyone has yet asked Serena herself about it, but if someone has, or if anyone here can shed additional light, I’d be eager to know. (BTW, small and insignificant fact-checking point, while we’re at it: Price was Serena’s half sister, not her sister.)
